About Us
His Growing Grove Child Care Center is a non-profit ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Hayward. We provide care and education for children from infancy through entering Kindergarten.
The purpose of our program is to provide a Christ-centered supportive, safe and happy place for children’s adventures and learning while their parents work. Our goal is to meet the developmental needs of, and thereby enhance the sense of identity and self worth of every child.

The His Growing Grove Child Care Center School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
Safety
Safety is our top priority at HGG. We have stringent standards that exceed licensing regulations. We are a nut-free facility and keep epi-pens onsite for those children with allergies at all times. Many of our staff are fully CPR certified, including CPR for infants. Our doors remain locked at all times. Any person entering the facilities will need to be let in by a staff member. Our doors and windows are also equipped with blacked out screen that allow us to see outside while those outside can not see in! Doors, fences, and gates are checked daily for any changes if attention is needed. Security guards patrol both HGG and First Pres throughout the day.
Child-Size Accessibility
Our building was designed and built specifically as a childcare center and has appropriately-sized items for the children it serves. This includes toilets, sinks, tables, chairs, hooks for backpacks, and more that are the right size for your little one to access.
Environmental Safety
Each classroom is heated and air conditioned for comfort as needed. Each classroom is also equipped with an air purifier that run throughout the day. Our janitorial services cleans our facility daily.
